It was in response to the numerous requests from our dancers that we decided to book dance breaks in Bournemouth. What a success they have proved to be. Even the weather has played ball and the sun shone. We soon proved how much our South West dancers enjoy going away as a group by the popularity of our breaks in Newquay, Dawlish, as well as Bournemouth.

Dancing provides a great social life off the dance floor as well as on it and most supporters get together in small groups to socialise in other ways.

But you can't beat going away for an annual dance break to forge friendships and to get to know better those you only smile at and say 'hi'. to on the dance floor.

The Wessex Hotel is among the favourites for dancers. It has a large ballroom, high standards, plenty of parking, good food and is only a short walk from the promenade and a comfortable walk into town.

Our breaks are usually 3 nights but, in Bournemouth, dance holidays are traditionally 5 nights. But, we have been able to go for the happy medium of 4 nights - (quite enough on the trot for most of us), due to the bank Holiday shortening the week.

We arrive (own car for transport) on Monday, May 3rd, leaving on Friday morning.

Tuesday - Seaside Revels

Wednesday -The Flower Power - of an English country garden.

Thursday - May Ball - an evening to dress up.
